Greetings. This is Brad, owner and head photomaker here at meESSENCE. Your senior year of high school is a great time. I know you probably don’t believe me, but it is. How you reflect yourself in your senior pictures is extremely important in the grand scheme of the high school universe. You are unique, so you want your pictures to be unique too. Here’s a little about my philosophy about in making senior photos.
1. I don’t use formulas. Have you noticed that when you look at your friends’ pictures they all seem, ummmm, well a bit same old same old. Same backgrounds. Same poses. Same formula. Blah. I don’t use formulas. I don’t even like shooting in the same place twice. I don’t even like using backgrounds that come on roll. There is a big world out there. I’m all about natural looking portraits in real environments.
2. I’ve never really been into the ’stuff photo’. You know the photo – you sitting in the middle with your senior ’stuff’ around you. Letterjackets, footballs, pom-poms, a cat, a dog, a partridge in a pear tree. Stuff. Important stuff, but stuff. If soccer is your thing here’s a better way. Get dressed up in your home uniform. Get your friends dressed up in your away uniform and lets go photograph a scrimmage – sports illustrated style. You have to figure out what your essence is – I will photograph it. Ever thought of having your senior photos at a concert?
3. Copyright? What for? You know it. I know it. You want to be able to share your photos with all your friends. You want to plaster them all over facebook and the rest of the interweb. I’m with you. All meESSENCE photos are completely yours- here’s a copyright release, go forth and plaster. Feel the photo liberation revolution. They are your images – you can do what you want with them. All your images are print ready so you can make print photos easily. Make as many as you want and never pay me a thing again. Are you not good at deciding which pose, which outfit and which hairstyle you want? Fear not! Print them all. Make one of every image. They are your photos do what you will with them.

I take this honor very serious and therefore pledge all my photoninja skills, talents and toys I can to make your senior photos the greatest ever. I shall do all within my power to make sure you are a happy camper from the time you stumble onto my site, book my skills, spend some quality photo time with me and then revel in the final pictures. I promise that if you don’t like your photos I will make everything better by either 1) reshooting, recorrecting, reprinting, resomething until you are happy or 2) if there is just nothing I can do to make you happy I will cheerfully give you back all your money with a heart-filled apology that we weren’t able to work together. period.
In order to work together, you have to agree to two things too: 1) don’t be a jerk – because that’s just not nice & 2) if you take the nuclear option and want your money back that’s cool, but you agree not to use any of the images that I took. That seems only fair.
Let me summarize. Me want you to be happy. If you aren’t, me fix. If I can’t fix, me give you back your money.
This isn’t senior photos for the boring. This isn’t sit-up and smile for the camera style photography. This is getting to your essence and you showing the world what it means to be meESSENCE.
